BEING A PARENT IS HARD!!! Teaching parents how to be good parents is sometimes harder.  But what if there was a very simple way to teach and practice kind of parenting that will ensure lifelong resilience and personal strength in children? Play Ball - The Playbook for Attachment and Discipline teaches any parent a simple to understand and easy to master way of coaching and nurturing children to be resilient mentally and emotionally.

Play Button 3

Attachment is a major buzzword and is so often missunderstood.  All of us form attachments.  We become attached to people and things to give perpose and meaning to life.  They way that we interact with our children will have serious impact on their ability and desire to make attachment s to us. Not only to us but to others in their life.  The types and qualities of relationships our children maintain in life is nurtured in those early interactions we have with them.

Play Ball takes the parent through the troubling moments of decision when a child steps out into their world and ventures to make their own decisions and choices.  The world is a challenge.  Numerous obstacles face a child in their exploration.  What we say to the child as they leave our safety and protection is carried with them to the batters box.  These words shape the self talk that gives the child strength to learn and grow.  How we coach matters.  When we coach is even more  important.

Register for this 4 week course with this link.  Each sessions is only $15 and if you pay all at once you will receive a CD of the Coaching Call above. Pocatello residents, can click  HERE to join the Oct 23 group   http://app.steadytide.com/events/PlayBallLive

In these 6 weekly sessions we will cover attachment from the styles, or stages, as John Bowlby introduced us to them and apply them to the adventures and journeys we all take in life as we learn and grow through leaving the safe haven of our homes, anxiously venturing to the batters box where an opponent hurls chalenges at us in every effort to take us out.  If we win there is the pressure to reach the temporery safety of first base and our journey has begun.  We only return to the secure base of home if we succeed in defeating all the obsticles presented to us.  If we fail, we are out and sent back to our dugout.  This is one of the most critical times for developing resiliance and empowering the child to try again.  If we fail as the coach, we may find that the child begins seeking alternative safe haven in someone elses dugout.

Topics covered are:

The stages (styles) of attachment.

How grieving impedes a child ability to learn

What it means to lead with Pom Poms and bandages

Why self talk is more powerful than external coaching

and so much more.

When you understand the process of exploration and the resilience that healthy attachment provides, the process of raising resilient empowered children becomes very easy.
